The Paratrooper is a full-size mountain bike that folds in half to fit through the cargo door of a military plane or helicopter while tethered to a soldier via static line. It can fold and fit into a carrying case that the soldier fastens to himself or herself before a jump. Once on the ground, the soldier then has a high-speed mountain bike to use as transportation, which is often a faster alternative to walking and much more fuel efficient than using heavy military vehicles. The Paratrooper has no thermal or acoustic radar signature and has the ability to haul several hundred pounds of gear, great for many uses. When it's not in use, the bike folds down to fit pretty much anywhere.
The Paratrooper is also being used by civilians in cities and suburbs all over. It's perfect for riding on local bike trails, and it can be tucked away under a seat on the train for the morning commute.
